A lovely May Day

Every now and then you time it "JUST RIGHT" at Bunnings.  Today was one of those days.  I was on my way to the airport to pick up some friends from Queensland (we're doing a 4 day plant tour of Western Australia... from Gin Gin to Harvey and a lot of places in between!!! Should be a great couple of days with about 14 different gardens/growers to visit during that time)

Anyway, so I arrived at Bunnings Balcatta today and went to the usual area, and was sadly disappointed.  BUT given I was there I thought I would look into the boxes that hadn't been unpacked as yet as they looked suspiciously like Paradisia boxes.... and yes they were.... even better BEHIND the boxes they had already started to put the plants out on display

Oh plant porn time.... I nearly walked away thinking nah, nothing I wanted, and then I spotted it in the far back row behind a crassula springtime.  A BLUE GLOW!!!! OMG.  Yes I know I already have one, but this one is Tissue Cultured I'm pretty sure, and the TC ones have a tendency to throw more pups that those propagated vegetatively.....(um is that word ? )

Given that I was then going to buy a plant I had a closer look at some of the others..... I don't have a Agave geminiflora as yet, and I liked the white edges... so that went in, and the Aloe dichotoma I liked the leaf form... but I suspect I shall be rehoming that one.  BUT for less than $12 each I thought it was a bargain.

So anyway - today's purchases.

I still managed to get to the airport on time as well (bonus!) can't wait to start enjoying touring WA with fellow succulent addicts
